Sales Order Delivery

The Sales Order Delivery Window is designed to manage and track the fulfilment of sales orders, providing users with full visibility of delivery activity at both summary and detailed levels.

A sales order may be fulfilled in one of two ways:

  • Complete Delivery – where all items on the order are delivered in a single transaction.
  • Part Delivery – where only a portion of the order is delivered, with the remaining items to be fulfilled at a later date.

The system must support multiple part deliveries against a single sales order until the order is fully completed.
Each time a delivery is processed, whether part or complete, a corresponding record must be created in the Deliveries Window. This ensures a complete audit trail of all fulfilment activity. The delivery log should capture key information including:

  • Sales Order Reference
  • Delivery Date and Time
  • Items Delivered (including quantities)
  • Outstanding Quantities (if part delivered)
  • Delivery Status (Part / Complete)
  • User who processed the delivery

In addition, the system should allow the user to generate and print a Delivery Note at the point of processing the delivery.

The delivery note should reflect only the items and quantities included in that specific delivery (whether part or complete), ensuring accuracy for dispatch and customer verification.

The Deliveries Window acts as a historical ledger, allowing users to review all delivery transactions associated with a sales order. This provides operational transparency, supports customer service enquiries, and ensures accurate tracking of order fulfilment over time.
This structured approach ensures that every delivery event is recorded, traceable, and aligned with the overall lifecycle of the sales order.
